Theseus having been held back by the storm on the island Naxos , thinking if he were to bring Ariadne into his fatherland , it would be a shame for him , therefore he abandoned her sleeping on the island , Naxos . Bacchus loving her , lead her away into marriage with himself . When Thesus was sailing , he has forgotten to put the black sails , although Aegeus , his father , is believing that Thesus has been eaten by the Minotaur , he throws himself into the sea , out of which the Aegan sea is named . Her sister of Ariadne led Thesus into marriage .
