ὁ δʼ ὡς ἀπῆλθε κινδυνεύσας καὶ ἀτιμασθείς , βουλεύεται ὅπως μήποτε ἔτι ἔσται ἐπὶ τῷ ἀδελφῷ , ἀλλά , ἢν δύνηται , βασιλεύσει ἀντʼ ἐκείνου . Παρύσατις μὲν δὴ ἡ μήτηρ ὑπῆρχε τῷ Κύρῳ , φιλοῦσα αὐτὸν μᾶλλον ἢ τὸν βασιλεύοντα Ἀρταξέρξην .
