κεἰ μὴ γὰρ ἔστιν ὁ θεὸς οὗτος , ὡς σὺ φῄς ,

You see the wretched fate of Aktaion [ Actaeon ] , who was torn apart in the meadows by the blood-thirsty hounds he had raised , having boasted that he was better at hunting than Artemis . May you not suffer [ paskhein ] this ! Come , let me crown your head with ivy ; give tīmē to the god along with us .
