Minister vetuli puer Falerni ,
Inger mi calices amariores ,
ut lex Postumiae iubet magistrae
ebrioso acino ebriosioris .
At vos quo lubet hinc abite , lymphae ,
vini pernicies , et ad severos
migrate . Hic merus est Thyonianus .
Serving boy fill my cup of Falernian ,
Postumiae , the lady , orders it ,
addicted to drinking grape wine .
But you who it pleases from here go away to the water ,
wine ruin , and to move stern .
Here this wine is Thyone .

Serving-boy fill for me stronger cups
of old Falernian , since Postumia ,
the mistress’s , laws demand it ,
she who’s juicier then the juicy grape .
But you water , fatal to wine , away with you :
far off , wherever , be off to the strict .
This wine is Bacchus’s own .
