ANTIGONE .
Je ne voudrais ordonner ni tu n’agirais avec moi de-façon-à-m’être-agréable , si tu voulais encore agir . Mais sache quelles choses semblent-bonnes à toi . Or moi j’enterrerai celui-ci . [ Il est ] beau à moi de mourir faisant cela . Je reposerai avec lui chère [ à lui ] avec lui [ qui m ' est ] cher , ayant fait-d ' une-manière-coupabie de saintes choses , puisque plus considérable [ est ] le temps [ pendant ] lequel il faut moi plaire à ceux d’en-bas qu’à ceux-ici . Car là-bas je reposerai toujours . Mais s’il semble-bon à toi , reste ayant déshonoré les choses en-honneur [ auprès ] des dieux .

ISMÈNE .
Moi d’un côté je ne [ les ] regarde-pas-comme méprisables , mais je suis-naturellement sans moyens pour le agir en violation des citoyens .

ANTIGONE .
Que toi en-effet prétextes ces choses : mais moi je partirai devant-entasser ( ériger ) maintenant une tombe à mon frère très-cher .

ISMÈNE .
O malheureuse [ que je suis ! ] que je crains-pour toi malheureuse !

ANTIGONE .
Ne tremble pas pour moi : redresse ton sort .

ISMÈNE .
Mais enfin tu n’indiqueras-d’avance au-moins à personne cette action ; mais cache- [ la ] furtivement : moi de l ' autre côté conjointement de-même ( je la cacherai ) .

ANTIGONE .
Mon Dieu , déclare [ -la ] ; tu seras de beaucoup plus odieuse en te taisant , si tu ne divulgues pas ces choses à tous .

ISMÈNE .
Tu as le cœurardent dans des choses qui-glacent .

ANTIGONE .
Mais je sais étant agréable [ à ceux ] auxquels il faut moi plaire le plus .

ISMÈNE .
Si encore tu pouvais au-moins , mais tu désires des choses impossibles .

ANTIGONE .
Donc je m ' [ en ] désisterai , quand en-effet je n’aurai-pas-la-force .

ISMÈNE .
Mais il ne convient pas dès le principe de poursuivre les [ choses ] impossibles .

ANTIGONE .
Si tu diras ces choses , tu seras haïe d’un côté de moi , de l’autre côté tu reposeras-à-côté du mort odieuse avec raison . Mais souffre moi et le funeste-projet [ venant ] de moi essuyer ce désastre . Car je ne souffrirai rien de si-grand ( affreux ) de-manière-à ne pas mourir bien .

ISMÈNE .
Eh bien , va s ' ilsemble-bon à toi . Mais sache cela , que tu pars insensée , il est vrai , mais réellement amie à tes amis .

Antigone :
I would not want to order nor would you act with me in a way to be pleasant to me , if you still wanted to act . But know what things seem good to you . But I will bury this one . [ It is ] beautiful for me to die doing this . I will rest with him dear [ to him ] with him [ who is ] dear to me , having done-in-a-guilty manner holy things , since more considerable [ is ] the time [ during ] which it is necessary for me to please those below than those here . For there I will always rest . But if it seems good to you , remain having dishonored things in honor [ with ] the gods .

ISMENE :
I , on the one hand , don ' t [ look at them ] as despicable , but I am-naturally without means to act in violation of the citizens .

ANTIGONE :
May you use these things as a pretext : but I will go to heap ( erect ) now a grave for my dear brother .

ISMENE :
O unhappy woman [ that I am ! ] How I fear for you , unhappy one !

ANTIGONE :
Don ' t tremble for me : straighten out your fate .

ISMENE :
But finally you will not indicate in advance at least to anybody this action ; but hide it stealthily : I on the other side jointly ( I will hide it ) .

ANTIGONE :
My God , declare [ it ] ; you will be much more odious by keeping silent , if you do not disclose these things to everyone .

ISMENE :
You have a heart of gold in things that freeze .

ANTIGONE :
But I know how to be pleasing [ to those ] to whom I must please the most .

ISMENE :
If only you could , but you desire impossible things .

ANTIGONE :
So I ' ll give up , when indeed I don ' t have the strength .

ISMENE :
But it is not appropriate from the beginning to pursue impossible [ things ] .

ANTIGONE :
If you say these things , you will be hated on one side of me , on the other side you will lie beside the odious death with reason . But suffer me and the disastrous plan [ coming ] from me to wipe out this disaster . For I will not suffer anything so great ( awful ) as not to die well .

Ismene :
Well , go if they look good to you . But know this , that you are going foolishly , it is true , but really a friend to your friends .
