Pasiphae , daughter of the sun , wife of Minos , did not make sacred things of the goddess Venus through many years . Because of it , Venus throws unnatural love to her , so that she would love the bull . When Daedalus came into this matter as an exile , she seeks help from him . He makes a wooden cow for her , and she brings in the skin of a real cow , in which lied with a bull ; out of the union came a minotaur with a head of a bull and a human lower part . Then Daedalus makes a maze for the minotaur with an inescapable maze , in which is closed .

With this thing having been known , Minos throws Daedalus into prison , but Pasiphae freed him from the chains ; thus Daedalus made wings for him , and his son Icarus and he equipped them and from there they flew away . Icarus flying higher fell into the sea with the wax having been melted by the sun , the sea which has been called the Icarian Sea from him . Daedalus flew to King Cocalus on the island of Sicily . Something else was said : When Theseus struck the Minotaur , Theseus had brought Daedalus back into his native country of Athens .

Minos the son of Jupiter and Europa waged war with the Athenians , whose son Androgeus has been struck in battle . After he conquers the Athenians , they begin to be the tributaries of Minos ; however , he established that he would send seven of their own children once a year for the purpose of feeding the minotaur . After , Theseus had come from Trozen and he heard that the citizens were being affected by a calamity , he offered himself voluntarily to the Minotaur . When his father sent him , he says to him , so that if you are back as the victor , he should have white sails on the boat ; those who were being sent to the minotaur , they were sailing with black sails .
