I was sending away those present as being friends
Since they have money , I am preventing them from plundering the country
The queen furnished money to Cyrus to persuade the character ( s ) of him
And the fugitives have hope
He was commanding the soldiers who bore arms ( shields ) to be near ( present )
The fugitive has a name of flight
If you furnish the marketplace , you would hold a friendly disposition toward us
Orontas plotted against Cyrus
This ( guy ) told Cyrus that if he should give him soldiers , he would slay the enemies those burning the country
These things seemed to be good to Cyrus listening , and he commanded him to take soldiers
Orontas believing he had soldiers is writing a letter to the king that he would come having soldiers
He gives this letter to a trustworthy man , so he thought
But the bearer gives ( it ) to Cyrus

By destroying the seven boats they caused us trouble
The exiles do not trust those who are remaining here
Since we are hopeful ( having hope ) we intend to hasten to the camp
Then there was a review of the army of Cyrus
And first the barbarians marched forth
Then Cyrus upon the chariot and the Cilician queen upon the carriage drove forth the Greeks
Everyone had beautiful arms
He sent the herald alongside the generals of the Greeks who have driven these , who commanded them to advance every phalanx
From these drivings the soldiers with a scream hurried upon the tents away from their free will
The barbarians had so much fear that they fled and the Cilician queen upon her carriage and those from the marketplace left behind their money
In this way , the Greeks arrived upon the tents with laughter accordingly

After these ( things ) the friends to him were following the gift being pleased
Everyone is sent after by the satrap
But I do not want to fight with my friends
Accordingly , he was pleased by those persuading , but he did not summon them
If it did not seem best to have it , we should not be asking for it
Since there was hope ( there being hope ) , the general was making war on the Thracians
The enemies seized him as he was hastening to his place
All being present , Cyrus himself called the messenger into the tent
Since they set up camp in the country , there was much heavy snow within the night ,
so that it hid away both the arms and the men lying down
and the snow impeded the horses

The young ( people ) prepared as they followed the master
From then , he is a leader for the army having the river on the right
Since you were indeed good , I will be eager to provide not a single gift but to receive you as friends
It was being agreed to be good by everyone
Before the master came , the guards took care of the fugitives
When the spears were being taken , the men about us fled
He was not willing to be their leader ( to be leader of them ) , until the citizens persuaded him
Since they are being captured , we think it best ( it seems best ) to choose other commanders
The two childern of Darius and Parysatis were born , the older was Artaxerxes and Cyrus was the younger
When Darius was ill and suspected the end of life , he wished they were present
The older was present
But Cyrus is summoned from rule which made him satrap
And he was general of everything gathered in the field of Kastolos
Within a short time , they will undertake to follow him
For it will not be hard to prepare the house
The young ( people ) prepared as they followed the master
From then , he is a leader for the army having the river on the right
Since you were indeed good , I will be eager to provide not a single gift but to receive you as friends
It was being agreed to be good by everyone
Before the master came , the guards took care of the fugitives
When the spears were being taken , the men about us fled

The general led them up through the plain ( with ) the enemy following
There were few who were willing to promise this
His fear did not cease until he reached Greece
The guards prevented the pillagers from seizing the women and the children
The exiles will arrive during the night

Hippokleides
commanded
the
piper
to
play
a
song
Since he convinced the piper , he danced , as seemed best to him , beautifully
And Kleisthenes suspected each affair
But after some time Hippokleides sent after a table
After approaching the table , Lakonika danced a figure ( " busted a move " ) on him
Then an other , Attika , and thirdly bracing the head upon the table , she gesticulated with her legs
And Kleisthenes being vexed by the first and second figure
and no longer wanting him to become his son in law because of the dance and shamelessness waited
not wishing to be difficult towards him
After gesticulating with his legs , he said
Oh child of Tisandre , I will dance away the marriage
But Hippokleides said
Hippokleides has no care

Some now say these ( things ) to take this on from the ( his ) brother
Why do you suspect these ( things ) ?
If they were to command something , they would send a messenger to you
When will the battle happen ?
Even verily when traversing through the field into some village he came in where there was not water
How many horses and from whom did you collect ?
For we suspect where some barbarians are persuing you
Even when arguments became concerning the journey
Time is the healer of all the necessary ills
Even this will now heal you
Oh Solon , Solon , you Greeks are always children , and an old man is not Greek
For you are all young in ( with respect to your ) spirits

sent
We do these ( things ) so that you may love us
Therefore let us no longer destroy neither the houses nor the tents
They always take care of the soldiers , however they are capable
They will send a letter to the satrap , as not to capture the fugitives
Let us not abandon the arms
He chooses this general , so that they hurry into Greece
Both the women and children are fleeing into the camp , whereever they do not suffer ills
Where are you ?
Once there was talk about the water
There were some tables in the house
A certain soldier came on the run to demand food
What were the gifts that you received from your friends ?
The tree was thrown into the river by the wind
He said ( the river ) was bearing ( the tree ) through the river with rushes
Why did you being slender not suffer an ill ?
But the rushes said
You are fighting winds and are thrown down because of this , but we yield to them so that we do not suffer an ill
